Hey you. I guess I should let you know that I'm going to be at ECCC with my baby boy, Nate Blehyurhrgarg or whatever. We'll be at table C-09 as you can see in that picture that I made that's cool because I guess we're a ghost or something? Anyway, as cool as that is, that's not even the coolest bit because the coolest bit is that I have a NEW SKETCHBOOK
That's right! I made a new sketchbook which collects some of the cooler sketches that I did for folks in copies of my previous sketchbook, LOOKIT. So you guys realize what that means, right? It's a sketchbook of a bunch of sketches that YOU HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN, unless one of the sketches happens to be in your copy of LOOKIT, but then hey, there's 95 other sketches that will be new to you. OH YEAH DID I NOT MENTION THAT IT'S 96 PAGES LONG well it is.
LOOK AT IT, the Cory Walker sketchbook volume two is a 5.5x5.5 96 page perfect bound bundle of 98% all new material which is way cooler than buying a sketchbook full of shit from the ol' blog here, right? I hope so.
Originally, I had her top and skirt bit blue, but I filled it in white and preferred that, so I went with it. I had also made it where her top was blue, the skirt bit was red and the leggings were white, but aside from the fact that I've already done white leggings to death on these, it kinda just made it look even more like just plain clothes or whatever and I like the idea of the top and skirt bit being one piece of fabric, anyhow.
So, I feel like I need to make something clear to you guys. If you think I'm mocking Rob Liefeld when I draw these characters, you're mistaken. This shit is awesome, and I have a blast drawing this stuff for my sketch blog. The Bloodwulf from yesterday was inspired by a Bloodwulf piece that I saw and I was all liek oh jesus christ that's awesome I have to draw Bloodwulf now.
These posts are not an ivitation to mock Rob. I think that's a horse that has been beaten WELL past death.
Try to enjoy more things.
I ain't mad or anything and I love you all, it just needed to be said.
I took a little inspiration from Leinil Yu's great FAT BELT Superior costume, for this week's supergirl. I had tried to make that placement of the S shield work before in my sketchbook, and though I don't think this is a massive success, it's the best I've done of it so far, so, okay!
