It's all been leading up to this! Destroyer comes face to face with his most dreaded adversary yet--DEATH! It's a no-holds-barred winner-take-all fight to remember. The stakes--high! The prize--life! Nothing can prepare you for this sense-shattering conclusion. Also in this issue--violence!

Boris Grishenko Is

Robert Kirkman and I talked with CBR about my two-issue return to Invincible here.
In the interview I scream out "Spider-man Loves Mary Jane" when talking about books I've worked on. I corrected myself, because I MEANT Web of Romance which I did with Tom Beland, but I'm a dipshit and said the wrong thing and the correction didn't make it to print, so I just wanted to clear that whole thing up. That was a run-on sentence. It's kind of understandable, right? I mean, it's not like I yelled out DARK WOLVERINE when I meant Web of Romance. Anyone could make that mistake, right? Sigh.
DARK WOLVERINE
p.s. The above image is my cover for the Invincible Scriptbook, and has nothing to do with my two issues, fyi.
EDIT: The article has been edited. Saved myself the embarrassment of anyone ever finding out! Phew! DARK WOODGOD

News

So, last night on Attack of the Show, Blair Butler broke the news of my return to Invincible for a two-part story in issues 66 and 67. Above is my cover for issue 66 colored by the super-amazing Fco Plascencia.
See the Fresh Ink clip from last night's show here.
Lastly, yes, I know you prefer Ryan, I do too. Relax, it's just two issues.
Love,
cory

...also, sadly, I won't be updating daily any longer. This must come as a shock, after a two week absence, I'm sure. I got some wicked strep throat that took me out of commission for a while, and I missed several days, so I just focused on getting caught up on my work, so no daily sketches. It wasn't going too well, anyway and had already become more of a chore than it should have been.
On the bright side, maybe now Newt and I will get around to some cockfight fun.

Thanks for nothing, Hogwart.
So, ever since I posted my sixth entry this year, a picture I drew of Hoggle that I was happy with until I actually looked at a picture of Hoggle again after drawing it, I've wanted to take another shot at it. Luckily, with the help of my Hoggle doll, I managed a better likeness this time around.
...and yes, once again I'm playing with the Pentel brush pen. A Pentel correction pen was also involved. Pentel. Pentel pentel.

I got a Pentel brush pen that I've been scribbling on my scripts with so I decided maybe I'd scribble with it in my sketchbook instead. The above sketch is the result of that (as was yesterday's post). Unlike the script sketches, this one had a quick pencil underdrawing. Below is an example of what I've been doodling on the scripts instead of drawing from them. :(

Eh, it's something different, right?
